Meet Kristeen Porter, LCDP

Healing begins with feeling heard.

Bridges of Change was created to provide compassionate counseling that meets individuals where they are physically, emotionally, and personally.

As a Licensed Chemical Dependency Professional (LCDP), Kristeen specializes in helping adults navigate substance use disorders, trauma, PTSD, anxiety, depression, and life transitions.

Every treatment plan is individualized because no two recovery journeys are the same.

Our Philosophy

Recovery isn't just about stopping substance use.

It's about rebuilding confidence.

Restoring hope.

Strengthening relationships.

Learning new coping skills.

Creating a life you truly enjoy living.

At Bridges of Change, we focus on the whole person, not just the diagnosis.

Our Approach

Recovery Doesn’t Have to Happen in an Office.

At Bridges of Change, we believe that support should meet you where you are, not expect you to fit into a traditional model of recovery.

For some people, sitting in an office feels comfortable. For others, it can feel intimidating, unfamiliar, or disconnected from everyday life. That’s why Kristeen takes a flexible, person-centered approach to counseling and recovery support.

Sessions can take place in your home, in the community, virtually through telehealth, or in a wellness setting at It’s a Vibe, whatever environment helps you feel most comfortable, supported, and able to be yourself.

Whether that means talking over a cup of coffee, taking a walk, sitting in the comfort of your own home, or connecting virtually, the goal is the same: to meet you where you are and help you move forward from there.

Because recovery doesn't look the same for everyone. Your care shouldn't either.

Why We Meet You Where You Are

Traditional recovery models don't work for everyone, and that's okay.

We understand that asking someone to enter an unfamiliar office and immediately open up about deeply personal experiences isn't always the right starting point. Sometimes, meaningful conversations happen more naturally when you're in a familiar environment or doing something that feels comfortable.

There is no one “right” way to recover. Bridges of Change was created to offer a different approach one that considers not only where you are in your recovery, but who you are as a person.

Whether you're just beginning to consider recovery, transitioning out of treatment, working through a difficult period, or maintaining long-term recovery, We will meet you where you are and help you take the next step.
