Real Stories.

Real Change.

“Three years ago, I was 19 years old and struggling with opioid addiction. Looking back, I honestly don't know where I'd be today if I hadn't started counseling with Kristeen. She believed in me even when I had a hard time believing in myself.

Recovery wasn't perfect. About a year into my recovery, I had a slip and overdosed. Thankfully, I survived, and that experience became the turning point in my life. Instead of giving up on me, Kristeen continued to encourage me, helped me learn from what happened, and reminded me that one mistake didn't erase all the progress I had made.

Over the years, she has been there through different stages of my life. When I needed support again, I knew exactly who to reach out to. Today, I meet with her by choice because I understand that recovery isn't just about staying away from drugs—it's about continuing to build a healthy, meaningful life and making sure I never go back to where I was.

Today, I have been free from opioids for over two and a half years since my overdose. I have a full-time job, I rent my own three-bedroom apartment, an amazing fiancée, soon to be wife, and a beautiful 10-month-old daughter. Life is busy, and that's exactly why I continue counseling. We focus on healthy coping skills, relapse prevention, accountability, and staying ahead of any challenges before they become problems.

Kristeen has never judged me. She has always treated me with respect, honesty, and compassion while also holding me accountable. She has helped me become the person I am today.

If you're struggling with addiction or wondering if recovery is possible, I want you to know that it is. Recovery takes work, but having the right counselor can make all the difference. I'm incredibly grateful for everything Kristeen has done to help me build the life I have today. ”

“20 years of drinking just to forget about the pain I have endured in my life has not been what I planned when I was a child. From the deaths of my favorite people to confusion on who my father or my grandfather is. Questions that can never be answered. I always thought therapy was a joke until I actually needed it. Kristeen has been a blessing to me ever since I’ve met her. I know for a fact I would still be drinking if it wasn’t for her help by just listening and giving me feedback, since I was referred to her from rehab over 3 months ago.”
